Recently Filled - Inside Technical Sales / Sales Manager

Description: Van Sant Enterprises is currently looking for a full-time person to join our inside technical sales team. This job would have potential for Sales Management in the future. The basic function of the salesperson is to facilitate the sale of new fabricating equipment over the phone. Primary responsibilities include handling inbound phone calls and working a small number of tradeshows each year. Some light prospecting may be required. This rep will develop both new customers and service repeat customers. Inside sales reps are expected to understand, communicate, and sell tools and some complex machinery (the whole scope of which can be seen throughout this website). Customer service duties may include assisting customers with lead time status, shipping information, or technical support. We want to add a self-starting and enthusiastic person to the team, who is willing to continuously improve. (Any additional skills outside the scope of sales may be a plus. We handle our ecommerce, email newsletter, print catalog, and graphics in house.)

Work Conditions/Environment: Inside technical sales rep will work in a professional office environment that allows business casual dress. Occasional travel in and out of state required for trade shows and product training. Typical work week is 45 hrs, M-F.

Compensation/Requirements: High School diploma required. BA/BS Preferred. 3+ years sales experience or a manufacturing background required. Technical aptitude a must. Must be a self-starter and motivated. Valid Driver's License required. Ability to drive company's light duty truck/trailer required. Compensation includes base salary (based upon experience), company profit-sharing program, 401K, and health insurance benefits.
